So many of our holidays are surrounded by sweets and treats. So because it’s the new year and most of us probably have the goal of eating healthy, I thought I would come up with healthy Valentines Day treats for kids. Both my girls are only one so they don’t eat many sweets, but one of their favorite things to eat is applesauce. These little applesauce cups are the perfect size, yummy, healthy and plus you don’t have to worry about common food allergies, unless you choose something with strawberries.
You can buy a six pack of applesauce cups for about $2 at the grocery store so each Valentine comes out to be about 35¢! They are the perfect Valentines Day treats for kids to give at a class party. They have lots of different flavors, peach, pear, mango and lots of berry varieties which are the perfect color for Valentine’s Day!
Valentines Day Treats for Kids
To make these cute little applesauce cups, all you have to do is print the labels (below) on round 2″ Avery labels and add them to each cup. To add a little color I used pink and purple markers to add stripes to each label. You could also use a highlighter for polka dots, hearts or overall color. Another option is to print these on colored paper and cut or punch each circle out. Your kids would probably love to help with decorating the labels and adding their name. Embellish with a ribbon and spoon if you’d like!
SWEET Valentine’s Day Sayings
There are three different sayings on the Valentines Day printable- they’re all so SWEET!
“You’re the APPLE of my eye!”
“Have a SWEET Valentine’s Day!”
“You’re so SWEET Valentine!”
