Thanksgiving is basically 2 weeks away! I can’t believe how fast time has flown by. The holidays, Thanksgiving and Christmas in particular, is my favorite time of the year. There’s something about the coolness in weather and the fun family gatherings that warms my heart and I just love it! I’m so thankful for this time of year so I made this piece of wall art that I have sitting on an easel in the master bedroom to remind me to always give thanks to God. Honestly it could hang all year round because we should always give thanks to God and it’s just too pretty to take down.
Give Thanks Printable
This past week I downloaded a free trial of Adobe Illustrator and have been having a blast designing and making things. This give thanks printable is my most recent creation and I’m loving it in glitter. It takes the pretty factor up a notch or two, but it’s as equally beautiful as a black and white printable. I’ll show you how to do both!
To make the glittered version of my printable I used my Cricut Explore machine to upload my image into the Cricut Design Space. I cut the image on Silhouette double-sided adhesive sheets (I know, I know, but I had to use both brands because I wanted it to look pretty). I haven’t seen them in craft stores, so I ordered mine from Amazon for pretty cheap. Here’s a link if you want to check out this awesome product (affiliate link). Be sure you place the adhesive sheet white side up and use the “fabric” setting on your Cricut because this paper is pretty thick.
Weed out the printable and take off the yellow backing. The adhesive will be stuck to the white paper.
Place the sticky side down where you want your image to be and press down firmly on all edges and corners. Peel off the white paper backing to reveal your adhesive image.
Use extra fine glitter to cover the adhesive. I like to pat the glitter down a little too to make sure it sticks well. Tap off remaining glitter back into your jar. It is such an easy project and makes for such a beautiful piece of art! Let it stand alone or frame it and put it on the wall or on an easel.
Download the image below (right click and save to your desktop) to make both the glittered version with your Cricut or use it as a printable by saving and printing it out!
