Father’s day is litterally around the corner and for those of you who have little ones who want to help make a gift for Dad or Grandpa, this is the perfect solution. It’s quick, easy, cost effective 🙂 and cute. You’re likely to find everything at your house right now and we’ve even got a free printable to finish it off. I’ll admit, my little girls are a bit too little to make these yet, (they’re only one) but I was in charge for a church activity for girls 8 to 12 years old and they had fun making these up. In fact, I had one girl ask to make one for Grandpa too!
Father’s Day Gift Idea
Luckily, Pinterest has so many Father’s Day gift ideas for kids and I found this adorable collared shirt envelope tutorial from Bits of Everything Blog. It was perfect because I wanted the girls to help make something for their dads and it cost $0.60 to make each one, candy bar included.
Father’s Day Letter Printable
Each of the girls cut their envelope and glued on their tie, wrote Happy Father’s Day on the front and added a chocolate bar to sweeten it up even more. To personalize the gift, I made these Father’s Day letter printables to add inside. Each of them wrote a letter to thier dads thanking them for all they do.
I hope you know how MUSTACHE I love you!
Since the mustache theme is in right now, I wanted to incorporate that– and it went perfectly with the rest of the gift! The printable (find FREE download below) reads, Happy Father’s Day! I hope you know how “MUSTACHE” I love you. I thought the play on words was a great addition for a Father’s Day gift for kids.
If you wanted to, you could also print these out and make a tag for a gift you already have!
